Thomas Reifers

: Visionary Healer, Shamanistic Guide, and Lead Transformational Experience Facilitator

Thomas J. Reifers was born into a farming family on the South Dakota prairie, in an area known as the "Land of the Visionaries" by his Native Lakota friends. His early life was marked by hardships and challenges, including the impact of the polio epidemic that left him disabled. Despite facing learning disabilities and growing up in rural isolation, Thomas's innate visionary nature began to emerge early on, as he experienced past life memories and transformative states of consciousness.

In 1968, a close encounter with a UFO during a full moon night further deepened his understanding of the interconnectedness of the universe. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, he traveled extensively across the US and Canada, facing near-death challenges and learning from various experiences.

Thomas's path led him to work as a counselor, focusing on helping people cope with hallucinogen-induced experiences and guiding them through self-dream therapy for healing and transformation. Embracing a holistic approach, he studied hypnosis, integrative states of consciousness, and various healing modalities.

His involvement with Native traditions and ceremonies, including the Native American Church's use of peyote as a sacred healing medicine, further enriched his spiritual journey. Thomas also became a vice president and native healer in the network "Tyospia," facilitating intercultural healing between Native and non-Native people.

Thomas's passion for learning and healing led him to complete his master's degree and internship, allowing him to make a significant impact at the Phenix Indian Center. He continued his transformative work, exploring mystical experiences and undergoing vision quests to gain deeper awareness.

Throughout his life, Thomas has been an ardent advocate for the responsible and informed use of psychedelic plant medicines. As one of the founding members of COSS (Church of the Sacred Sacraments), he aims to bridge the gap between traditional healing practices and modern psychotherapeutic approaches.

With his vast knowledge, dedication, and profound understanding of alternative states of consciousness, Thomas strives to empower others to embark on their transformative journeys, contributing to the expansion of knowledge and fostering a more compassionate and enlightened society.
